The Task: Documenting a two day conference for a small association.

The ask. Capturing dynamic images of the conference that communicate camaraderie, professional development, and fun. Images to be used to promote subsequent events, demonstrate value for sponsors, and further the association’s brand. Pictures to be made available to speakers, attendees, and sponsors

The catch. Excellent communication with the client early on to establish their general goals and specific needs meant that there weren’t any catches!

The solution. Knowing the association wanted to highlight and attract new sponsors to the event, as well celebrating the connections between attendees, gave me the direction–the why– that I needed to make create images. Event photography requires the ability to read a room to understand when to be discreet and when to be outgoing and social. Being flexible and attentive at all times leads to some wonderful candid images.
